'"Could you not once find a safe, peaceful forest to dwell in?" Elessar asked..."There are no spiders here," Legolas offered weakly.'  LOL  Bless his sweet elven heart, lying amidst orc corpses and bleeding to death and he tries to ease his friend's fear with a joke!  It seems the Prince makes a habit of this - perhaps Elessar should just take him back to Minas Tirith and lock him in a room where he would be safe.  Naaah, Legolas would probably fall out of a window or or choke on a grape or something!  :-)  I liked this, Tinu - just wish I could have seen the battle!  I do love it when the elf gets down with his knives!  *clears throat*  (Uh, so sorry - temporary lapse into extreme elf-worship...pardon me!)

Linda  :-)

Author's Response:

LOL - it's so much like Legolas, isn't it? Always thinking about his friends, even when he is more dead than alive. He really needs a good healer as a best friend. *g* Hehe, perhaps Aragorn will really try to lock him into a room if it goes on like that - I'd definitely like to see him trying. Well, he could also trip over Gimli's axe and hit his head on the edge of a table or something... *g* I guess it's quite hopeless to try and keep the elf safe until there are such nice fanfic authors as you and me. *eg* I think this was written at a time when I still avoided battle-scenes like the plague, but I've written some since then - I love to see the elf in action, too! ;-) You are talking to a person who is VERY tolerant of extreme elf-worship, lol - in fact, I tend to suffer from it, too. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, thank you very much for reviewing! :)

RESCUED BY ARAGORN,  i hardly ever call him elessar.  prefer estel actually.  does elessar mean elfstone?

Author's Response: Yes, Elessar means elfstone. It was Aragorn's new name after he had become king. In post-RotK fics I sometimes use it, and sometimes ignore it, whatever I feel like doing. :) Thank you for your review!
