Oh, you kept the tension up to the last and didn't give those poor elves (and one ranger) not one moment of rest. And I loved it:) Can you tell I'm a big fan of our duo trying to save everyone and mostly managing to get themselves into deeper trouble with each new chapter? Luckily, in the end things tend to turn out all right (wouldn't have forgiven you if it had been otherwise *g*).

Thank you for this wonderful story and let's hope our elf and ranger will "enjoy" many more adventures!

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot, Michelle! Hehe, I don't know how much the elves and the ranger enjoyed this little adventure, but they all came in one piece (mostly) at the end, so they have no right to be complaining. I love getting them into deeper and deeper trouble, but I'm afraid I always have happy endings, which probably spoils the suspense because you know that everything will turn out well at the end, but I can have it no other way!

Oh, I love first-meeting stories, I can never get enough of them. And in this one, you certainly gave the term "I'm too old for this" a new twist *chuckles*!

Now, where is this miracle I had ordered?

Author's Response:

Patience, patience! A miracle too early would spoil the angst!

Wow! I knew it. Or rather, I guess it *is proud of self*. Of course, that doesn't help Aragorn and Legolas much in their situation. I suppose, at this point they need a miracle, possibly in the form of Hirvegil:)

Oh, this is really good!

Mhm, I think I have a growing suspicion about what is really going on. But I'll keep quite for now. Don't want to ridicule myself in case I'm totally off the mark:) It could very well be, I was never good with murder mysteries!

Author's Response:

Yup, that's what I usually do when I have a suspicion about what is happening - keep quiet to make sure I won't look stupid :) Years ago I used to read murder mysteries extensively, and always tried to guess who the murder is, and to be on the safe side I usually had many suspects and basically suspected everyone I could think of, and it nearly always turned out to be someone else! But you did it - well done! Yes, Hirvegil can play the role of a miracle, but there are other miracles floating around :)

You're writing this in a very suspenseful - it's fun to see this story unfold like this. Totally unchronological, which keeps this interesting and allows you to never reveal more info than you absolutely have to. Love it!

Author's Response:

Thanks a lot, Michelle! I tried to keep this as mysterious as possible and not reveal too much, at the same time giving readers a few clues that could help in solving the puzzle. Still, most of the secrets are revealed as early as chapter 5 or 6 if I remember correctly, and from then on its mainly angst, adventure, and h/c :) I'm glad you are enjoying it!

Whoa, that's an exciting start - jumping into the story in medias res. And just like Aragorn, I have basically no clue what's going on, so I hope he'll not bleed to death right away and will have a chance to clear Legolas' name!

Exciting beginning! The battle scene is good. Merzak's motivation is interesting... I wonder what the truth of the story is?
