Bearing so many sorrows, taking two watches... Halbarad is right, this is not good for Aragorn.

Author's Response: Wow, you're reading fast. :)   Yes, Aragorn should really listen to Halbarad's worries... he knows his Chieftain has too much on his plate.  Thanks for the review!

Roisin loved the interaction between Aragorn and the horse. We both like how the tension is building and think this chapter leads up real well to what is coming. For a moment we thought the ringwraiths were going to really appear.

Author's Response: Thank you both!  I'm glad you liked how Aragorn and the horse interacted.  In Tolkien's world the horses were often as much a character as the people, and I wanted to touch on that.  And yes, tension's really building... and will keep on building, so don't let your guard down yet. *grin*   Thanks for the review!

Hello!

I'm really liking this story.  I like how you're taking the time to develop it--introducing a few characters, providing strong characterizations for the canon ones.  Halbarad makes me smile:)

The developing plot line is very intriguing.  Already, we see Aragorn start to falter.  Is it the shadow?  Or is he just overworked?  I'll certainly keep reading to find out!  Great work!

Author's Response:

Thank you, MP!  I'm so glad you're enjoying this... and yes, Aragorn's in some trouble with this, and not likely to come out from his woes any time soon.  I'm glad you like my take on Halbarad ... he's rapidly become one of my favorites to write.  Thanks again for the nice review!
