I love the touch that one of the twins came running out naked!!  HILARIOUS!

Author's Response:

Thank  you so much for your review! I love the naked Elladan part as well - I've noticed that I often manage to get an elf naked or at least very wet in many of my stories. The whole 'swamp monster' thingy was fun to write.

Such a sweet and tearful ending! can't wait to read some of your other things!

Author's Response:

Thank you, Crockergirl, for your reviews of "Mellyn?". I am afraid I am very late in replying due to being on vacation over the holidays. I am so pleased that you enjoyed this story, and appreciate very much that you took the time to review. You like some of my favorite parts so that makes me very happy, too!

Thanks again,

Pentangle

Another good chapter. I love the relationship and trust Aragorn and Legolas are forming.

So sweet! I love the Legolas Estel bonding that is going on.

I enjoyed this chapter very much. I am glad that Legolas does not instantly start to adore Estel like some other fics.

OH! That was too sweet, especially about the part about not being a real prince. On to the next chapter!

Elemmire was right, there is a knife in my heart too!

I love how portrayed Legolas' reluctence to love the boy, then how he gave in. I can only imagine how hard it must be to have such a self giving nature as the elves, but having all they love pass on before them. I think in their hearts thet envy mortals.

Your story was well thought out and sensitivly written, only Tolkein or CS Lewis could have done better!!

Never let it be said that your stories are not educational! (Already said in "Five Words...")
O, this burned my heart! You are a miracle and a blessing! I forced back tears at "I know because I have tried many times." Oooohhhh, Pentangle, you are so cruel! I stole the dagger from Legolas' heart for it found mine! Even when my siblings were talking about chiken strips...
"You are afraid of him. You felt his hands- he is very gentle, is he not? You saw his tears- cried for your sake- saw his love, and you feared it." I have tried to write those kind of speeches before, but you take the prize- again. Encore!
But this is a tear jerker, and so grief-striken "angst" is nigh to weak a word! And yet... not bitter, but strongly, passionatly poigant. (If you know not the exact definition of poigant... look it up. I mean it to its fullest extent) My infatuation with you is unending.

You saved him with time to spare! Good girl, good girl... or guy... again, you've brought it, and sold it! I love the caring interaction, and the pride of the Peredhils. It was tenderly precious, and ... !!O.O!^_^!! ... my fingers can hardly type correctly!
"My brother: little braveheart" and a very naked braveheart at that(did you perhaps forget?)! Aye, this is the Estel that holds my heart, for his mind takes it in like a sponge! It would of been horrible to be either Estel or Legolas- and yet, you give them the most touching moments! I would *delete* one of my stories if you add a good "second end" to this story! I just would think it a dear price... could I interest you in Teitho ideas instead? But, if worst comes to worst, I would kill a story for you... *sob*

Elemmire

P.S. You *have* to put "Wrong" on here, I'm dying to review it! *cough, choke, die, die* Did you put it up yet? O wait... I died... right. *flops onto ground*

Aaaaahhhhyyyyyeeee! I love it! Legolas is an angel, a pure, wonderful, heart of an angel! I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it! I love it for it's decorum, for it's balance, for it's stimulating charm... have I said yet that I love it? Because I do. This is astonishing, the horror you are putting Estel through, the humour you put in so very well even in the dramatic time you play, and the difficult choice Elrohir had to do. "Although I do not think that you should smirk when people get spankings." You ease the tension you build with your drollery, and when you bring back the dark feeling, it comes the heavier, the deeper, so much more frightening. I would not be surprised if somebody makes a little "Estel and Legolas" movie as a side to lotr, not really offical, and it is your stuff. How can they turn this down?

P.S. Have a good holiday. Hope you're still not out for work on Labor Day... or do you not celebrate it?

Yeah! Legolas is breaking down... sorta. O, come on, prince, Estel is so cute! Ai, Pentangle, you've done it again. You are the author to beat! And no one's gonna touch you! This is proof- nothing happened, really, but I was captivated as a moth to fire. The caring feelings Legolas pushs away aren't over dramatic, but just right, setting a little pang on the heart, weakening the defenses, begging him to give in. Of course they do not have very much luck with Naneths, this is an angst site, for crying out loud(I'm teasing them, not you)! Your angst has style, not the old fashioned, everyday, uncreative things *always* popping up on this site, like Aragorn fighting dark voices or Sauron, or ya know, but really fresh air, new-look ideas at angst. If people could only catch on... but I guess this is your thing. And it is stunning. I don't know why I'm stemming the flood of stellar words... I guess I'll let 'em flow next chapter- when you turn up the heat and soak the hot Elf. Darn, I'm always slipping that phrase...

So sweet! This piece was what inspired in my own fic Estel's thoughts on Legolas and Glorfindel's hair compared to Haldir's. You can see bits of your stuff littered through mine... *chuckles sheepishly* I'm bad.
This is so beautifully touching! Estel caring so to go to Legolas, and then how he is turned away... *sob* Of course he doesn't care if a fake prince likes him or not. Unless it's Ell' and Elro', cuz we already covered the fact that the aren't real princes. I loved your roll on Legolas- from the eyes of a man, a woman(*rolls Rs in a purr* you're so right), and then a little boy looking for a fairy tale. SO adorable, SO true!
Swamp monster! HAHAHA! O, I had a fit, the best I think I ever had! You make it seem almost as if you are not trying to make fun, but really you force us to laugh, long and true! Yes, the longing of elleth, ho ho! nicely done! You make me pity him, even with naked Elves running across my mind! Blush alert! Elrohir, you are much to formal! (I'm kidding!) And you make quite a picture, weilding a pointless spear! You put everything so elegantly, even Elladan as at birth! But yea, you are my hero. Your pen (or fingers) let loose a flow unknown to us mortals, and my Lady Queen, thus I praise you; your charm is ever-coming, your winsomeness is striking, and aye! no word is known to not belie you, even perfect seems to used and dull. For what is this adroitness you have shown, that I can say it? A thousand thanks for gracing us with your wealthy talent, finesse.

Awwwwwwwwwwww! You know, I'm running out of ways to tell you how impressive, creative, unflagging, ingenius, innovational, stupendous, and bewilderingly dulcet you are. Any day you wanna bottle me up, I'm all yours. All. 'Cept Sunday morning and night. I'm at church, having a blast. You can come *g* anytime. Anywho, Estel is perfect- you give him a good character, you give him quirks, and keep them steadily but not overly much, and deliever the *cough* angelic ways of a ten year old boy to a T.
" "Let us drown him." "Agreed! We will tell Ada it was an accident." " Yes, yes, yes! I so enjoy your twins! They are beauts, I tell ya, beauts! And Erestor, and Elrond! And *shrivels* Legolas, and Thranduil. This is the stuff that begins a legend, and deserves the Featured Fics position. You have the power to make anybody smile, even non-fans. You are so versitle, I'm almost jealous. But if your stuff was mine, I couldn't leave reviews... and I'd be... a jerk and puffed-up mouron at thinking I could rival Tolkien. But as I am not in possesion of your stuff, I can say that. And be right at saying you could rival Tolkien, with no one flipping out their arrows and bows. *Glances over shoulder just in case* Heehehe, just checking. We're clear.
