Poor Elladan! That must have been a real shock. Mirkwood is really no place *I* would like to live in... I like your descriptions of how dangerous a place the forest has become, and of the three friends. I guess it is a really good thing to take scratches seriously where those three are concerned! *g* I also liked Elrohir's idea of using athelas to help, and Legolas' quick reactions when he discovered what was wrong with his friend.
