I am a 31 year old research scientist.  My name is Maggie, but most of my friends call me Mags. I have a sister who I love very much even though she is annoying. My sister, Shauna (Sha for short) is married and has just recently given birth to a baby boy. His name is Jai and he is beautiful according to his mum and dad and my best friend I haven't seen him yet as I was working (a long way away) and can't get there. I have two uncles and three aunts. One of my uncles is gay and in a long term relationship with his partner. I am very proud of both of them. My other uncle is happily married to Dar and has a daughter. My aunts are delightful and very original, one is married and is very excentri, one is living in Australia (I lived with her for a while when I worked there) and has two great kids and my other aunt is working for the UN. She originally worked as a Doctor in Doctors without Borders, but has moved on to administration. She is bisexual and is a really great lady. It was aunt Glo and my father who encouraged me more then anybody to persue the fields that I work in.

 My main fields are Marine Biology and Aqua Culture. I have recently completed a nearly year long research project in the Arctic with a team of U.N. scientists. It has been amazing, exciting and exhausting and something I will always be grateful I was a part of, but I don't think I'm ever going to do it again. 

I am single, though I was engaged until the beginning of last year. It didn't work out and I have decided that unless I meet someone extraordinary (someone like Aragorn or Legolas maybe *g*) I will stay single.

I write Aragorn and Legolas stories as well as Vig/Orli. I tend towards drama and angst. A friend once described my work as emotive and I think he's right. I can write comedy, but even in the best comdies there is a little tragedy otherwise it's slapstick.

I am looking foward to sharing my work with you. I will be posting some as soon as I can. I might not post often, but I will post. I will never leave a story unfinished, that is a promise.
